WHY

CONCRETE

LIFTING?

At around half the cost of replacing it, it just makes sense to raise it.

Our main goal is to provide you with a better, more sustainable alternative to total concrete replacement. It’s quick, clean, easy, and ready to use the same day.

Soil Stabilization

Soils and supporting materials settle or fail for a variety of reasons.  In many cases, the problem can be fixed by injecting a polyurethane resin that will react with the soil's moisture and expand to fill voids and bind soil material together. Think of the role that tree roots play in the natural environment, holding soils and materials in place. When the polyurethane is added into the soil, it first spreads like a liquid traveling in any direction that it can find before reacting and expanding. This option is sometimes recommended for soil resting below newer concrete slabs that immediately begins to settle, as there is likely to be more settling to occur in the future.

Another application for stabilization in failing soil is in areas around waterfront properties. As the water in these areas travels back and forth along the water's edge through the ground, it can create small caverns or routes for soil to be removed from beneath the surface, resulting in settling. In these cases, a hydro-insensitive foam can be applied at different depths along the area of concern. This foam is designed to set up in the presence of water and to maintain dimensional stability in wet environments.

Void Filling

Exactly what it sounds like. Void filling is a service we provide to remove any unwanted void.  Sometimes a void can develop without settling.  This can result in “bridging” and applies extra stress to the slab or surrounding areas.  Generally, this will only last so long before damage occurs and presents a hazard.  Applying foam in these voids before damage occurs is key.  A huge benefit to polyurethane foam is that it occupies a large space with very little additional weight.  When it comes to void filling no job is too big or too small.  From filling small voids caused by unwanted pests, to filling long lengths of abandoned service lines, wells, or failing culverts, we can do it!
